If you want to get a chance to breathe,

You had better go far from here,

Or the smoke will get inside your pores

And you will see the sun no more

For your nights may dive in the blues

If you are not afraid to lose

What your soul is all about

And you won’t even dare to shout !

You won’t get rid of all your fears

And your sleep pay be drowned in tears,

You may believe that this is love

That keeps you dreaming of the dove,

You wonder if he controls you

And you just don’t know what to do

For you want him just like hell,

But you’re too tired to kiss and tell…

So you will lay there wide awake

Wishing you could still bite the snake,

The King Lizard gets mad at you

When you’re a slave and a cruel fool,

Lost in all your discomfort,

The crazy blade is sharp and short,

So you’ll turn your thoughts to your friends

For you know they will lend a hand

But they fall asleep as you pray

You know you have become the prey,

So you get ready to be judged

Because you have tried hard to purge

And you have broken all the rules,

You felt like love was just a tool,

Still you don’t give up your faith,

Because you long to see his face…

But you will suffer all the same

As you never could stand the game !

Secrets and lies – and a man dies,

Forget about his alibis,

For it was meant to be that way,

For we all know the price to pay.
